We are working on updating the server to a new version of BOINC. We're just taking it slow and steady so that we don't have any unexpected problems. |

I've just found another of those rare old DP cards, four running MW now. The smoother things run, the more we can get done. |

Server problems? I'm getting either long scheduler response, timeout, couldn't connect to server or Server returned nothing (no headers, no data). |

Thanks for letting us know. I've just found another of those rare old DP cards, four running MW now. The smoother things run, the more we can get done.Five. A good way to get MW cards is to search Ebay for faulty ones. Fans are easy to replace, power connectors can be resoldered, and the one I've just ordered (providing the seller can make Furmark run ok) is less than half price because there's 2 irritating blue vertical bands down the screen on all outputs. This doesn't matter for crunching. Was it odd for me to feel sorry for the sick card? |

That's odd , I recently looked at a card on ebay that had that fault in the description and wondered if it would affect gpu work on Milkyway , I chickened out and bought an other XFX7970 , one described as having noisy fans , Yes, ebay china has fans for most cards :-) |

Probably the same card. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154771829129 He says Furmark won't run as Windows doesn't recognise the card. I gave him a link to drivers, if he can't run Furmark then I won't buy it. I'm not sure if it's a fault in the display output chip, or a fault in VRAM which happens to be in the display area, and might end up in MW. All he's managed so far is to run simple games using it as a "Basic MS Display Adapter". But he will sell it to me for £50 :-)Thanks for letting us know.
