My best guess is that the server is having memory trouble because of the missing drive. Hopefully when we get the new one installed it will fix the server issues. |

We don't know yet. It has been shipped to the manufacturer and received. It sounds like it has been approved and they are sending us a new drive (soon!). |

A drive isn't expensive at all when the cost is spread over many volunteers. Loads of us would donate 10 dollars each. You can even set up the RAID to have automatic spares which switch on when necessary. At my last place of work I had RAID 6 - 2 could fail and keep running. And there were two spares which replaced themselves when needed. I was emailed when something was broken and I ordered another, but 5 would have to break before anything went wrong.Definitely, I think redundancy is very important and many of the volunteers will support that.We don't know yet. No more separation WUs, is that it? |

I'm still getting separation WUs. There doesn't seem to be a huge queue of them waiting, but so far my delay in asking for a WU and successfully getting one is low (a few minutes). With the waiting for validation queue growing (3910723) and being processed slowly, there are probably less resends in circulation than usual. I'm happy that the machine is up and sending WUs fairly quickly. It is limping along well, but still limping. We will all have to deal with a few minor delays until the missing drive is replaced. |

Well, atm server status says 35 separation WUs available to send. When I checked previously there were only 15 of those. Half of my hosts cannot connect to the server. The other half, when managing to connect, get only a handful of WUs. Quite a bit of a mess I'd say. |

The server is a mess right now. up and down and up and down and no WUs to hand out . Hope the system admins can prop it back up until the drive arrives. edit: got a few resends. |

I've added the temporary runs "de_modfit_70_bundle5_3s_south_pt2_3" and "de_modfit_84_bundle4_4s_retest" in order to look at how the server is generating the initial conditions for the runs. If you see WUs coming from them, that's all normal. |

Thanks Tom, grabbing what I can get and processing it. |

Asking this question out of curiosity. We haven't been notified of any new runs for over 4 months. I am guessing runs mentioned in this thread we are still working through? |
