they have probably repurposed or replaced it by now.Since this is a cloud environment, it repurposes itself as needed, that's the whole point of it, all they need to do is shutting the VM down. I meant the Server itself but yes that too |

Latest update (about 21:10 UTC 13th March) The website is back online, but the recovery process continues. As a result, not all functionality is available. Until we can restart BOINC and the database, stats/contributions are not accurate. We will provide further updates as we progress. Thank you for your patience."The website is back online" -- that's a matter of opinion :-) -- initially I couldn't navigate away from the home page, either timing out or failing to get through the login process as it failed to load the post-login page and just put the login prompt up again! Eventually, I managed to get onto the forums but it was so painfully slow that I'm still trying to work out how one or two of the regulars had managed to make a post since the forum restart :-) (And speculation on why it's like that won't make it go any faster, of course...) i wonder if they could have improved the phraseology a bit to warn about probable slowness, or elected not to actually bring up the web site more or less straight away... Ah, well -- it's a start... Cheers - Al. |

The website seems to be OK now. Not very useful since they don't have a server status page, but at least something. |

Now they are again "experiencing an unexpected error". I wonder what kind of errors they usually expect. ;-) |

Thankfully I have a very low number of WU's patiently waiting to be uploaded. Once they are gone that's it. I note on the news site they are busy assembling the next load of WU's for SCC to be processed once they are back up, somewhat ambitious to me but perhaps a laudable aim. |

Covid-19 tasks are available again, don't know how many though or if it's limited to cpu or gpu or if both are available |

Are you able to upload the results of those Covid tasks? Can't upload the results of my MCM tasks yet. |

Covid-19 tasks are available again, don't know how many though or if it's limited to cpu or gpu or if both are available Interesting my client had to back off of 30 minutes. There is no communication in the appropriate topic thread too say new work being distributed. Congrats to you for being able to get some work |

Covid-19 tasks are available again, don't know how many though or if it's limited to cpu or gpu or if both are available I have my pc's running other tasks right now ,t was just a message posted on a place I frequent, wuprop https://wuprop.boinc-af.org/, that lists those kind of things. |

Covid-19 tasks are available again, don't know how many though or if it's limited to cpu or gpu or if both are available I see. I have never understood fully how that project works. I am aware that you get badges for runtime. I assume to get the runtime badges you have to be running at least one task from wuprop which takes away at least half a day or a day's runtime (depending on how long you run your computer for) away from the project just to receive the badge |

you have to be running at least one task from wuprop which takes away at least half a day or a day's runtime (depending on how long you run your computer for) away from the project just to receive the badge WUprop is NCI, even on my ancient Core 2 Duo it just uses about 1-2 CPU seconds per hour, so it basically has no effect on other projects you run, even if you crunch with 100% of your CPUs (if not, than no effect at all). With fast GPUs completing tasks here every few seconds it will use more, but usually people crunching on GPU leave some cores empty anyway, so it won't matter. |

Looks like they have a problem again....sending work out OK but not accepting work back. See what next week brings. |

Looks like they have a problem again....sending work out OK but not accepting work back. See what next week brings. Keep clicking retry, I had to click almost a dozen times in a row but the files finally went thru, now I only tried sending one at a time not the whole half dozen in the transfers tab. After I finished one file I clicked to send the next one, I had time as I was doing a dozen pc's at the same time. |

One more thing if you look at the Event Log in the Boinc Manager and see a 'transient HTTP error, it seems to mean there are no upload ports available on the Server but if you keep clicking you will get thru. I'm not sure it works that way in every Project but it seems to for WCG. |
