How many have you managed to do Peter and more importantly did you get any validated ?1587. And 5. Thanks….some are at least getting validated. Mine is 349 and 12 |

I think we're clearing one queue and creating another. Oh well, progress, eventually. Reminds me of my home extension. How many have you managed to do Peter and more importantly did you get any validated ?1587. And 5. Hang on, if the server validation queue is only 92, what are ours waiting for? The wingman? I looked at a few of my pending ones and they say quorum 1, I'm therefore not waiting on anyone. Odd. |

Pah! I keep getting seperation tasks on the CPU. How irritating! |

I wouldn't worry much about the different fluctuating queues on the server status page. As long as we're getting steady supply of tasks (N-Body) and they're not erroring out - we're making progress. Validations will come, I actually got a bunch of wingman tasks today. The quorum/replication info changes. From what I can tell, the server does its own validation and if not satisfied (validation inconclusive) it creates a wingman task, sometimes even a third one. I have at least one instance of where I'm processing a third task of the same Workunit because the first two produced inconclusive results. Its seems to be very difficult to get validation from just one attempt at a Workunit. If you want to do GPU only Separation and N-Body I think you have to use separate computers, as there's no way to make this happen on the website settings. Maybe a way to do it via app_config.xml? |

The server seems to be keeping up with validations now. I've got nbody on a lot of CPUs, and seperation on a GPU that crashes Folding@Home. The quorum/replication info changes. From what I can tell, the server does its own validation and if not satisfied (validation inconclusive) it creates a wingman task, sometimes even a third one. I have at least one instance of where I'm processing a third task of the same Workunit because the first two produced inconclusive results. Its seems to be very difficult to get validation from just one attempt at a Workunit.Interesting, I'd only heard of self validation (where the program on your computer knows if it screwed up) and quorum 2+ (where the server simply checks we both got the same answer). If you want to do GPU only Separation and N-Body I think you have to use separate computers, as there's no way to make this happen on the website settings. Maybe a way to do it via app_config.xml?Yeah I've tried everything and I still get seperation leaking onto the CPU. I think Tom said he had plans to put more options on the server's preferences page. I can't really have seperate computers, the GPUs have to be connected to a processor, which I sometimes want to do nbody! |

Though you may have to clean the sticky bits off the screen afterwards :-)Now that's rude! And I like it. |

As was said use two spaces. It vanishes. Stupid forum programmers don't have a delete button. Typical of Boinc "programmers".....? |
