I had a n-body simulation running for 3 days with 9 days to go (don't check often). I checked about 45 minutes later and very little progress, so I suspended it and resumed. When restarted said 11 minutes done and 3 minutes to go, finishing in 12 minutes. This has happened several times occasionally on n- body simulation occasionally over the years. It does not happen on simulation.

Any suggestions? (My knowledge on the internal working of computers is zero!)
