hi guys

can you please test this client for SSE4.1 architecture?

All of you with the last generation Intel cpus you can use this client!

Unix/Linux@64-Xtrem-SSE4.1 client

please let me know if the client runs faster! thank you!

Sorry, but this one's slower. Somewhere between your first and and 2nd version.
edit: more like the first.

No Joy. The 4.1 app brings me back to 22 minutes per WU.

Now then, I got my compiler runnin'

The most I can squeeze out up to now is the same level as the petros V2.

I've downloaded the Intel compiler me too, but i don't have the time to start working on a faster application.
I believe we can drop the crunching time per wu much more!

speedimic ,have you tried to improve the client @64 ?

Petros & Speedimic,

The newly released windows apps are causing the following question:

What are we doing wrong on the Linux side??? ;-)

The windows apps appear to be approx 3x the performance of your best Linux releases. Is the windows compiler that much better? Or were there changes to the source code involved? (Inquiring minds and crunchers want to know!!)

Cheers,
Glenn

The Linux link to the app doesn't work for me......I have a dynamic IP and Rapidshare tells me that my IP is already downloading it but sends nothing. Can anyone help?

@ GlennG & all

My client it's optimized through a compilation for Unix and Linux platforms at 64 bit (SSE3) and without any modifications or changes to the application's code.

The user or the users who released even much faster client(s) for Windows perhaps they can tell us, or help us, or show us how to get there if they want, BUT it looks like for now that some or all of those clients are returning invalid results, at least this is the sense i got from some posts on the forum and the project news on the homepage of MW.

To this last point about the new windows optimized clients i can't take any position and the best we can do for now is to wait until the project Administration it will return in the next days with some specific informations about which optimized clients are returning invalid results.

It will be a really big surprise for me if my MW client will be Blacklisted from the project Administration, because as i said earlier I only compiled the client for a specific operation system and cpus with SSE3 support.

Then I guess your P4 doesn't support SSE3 (or pni)
As far as I know, the offering from petros is the only one available

Actually I have 2 P4 xeon's at 3GHz and an AMD 4200+ that support SSE3 and are 64bit ?? It must be the way that Petros compiled that App in some way.

So it looks like the 32bit Linux is out in the cold at the moment unless someone feels kind enough to provide a link :)
