Hello, Is there any plan to support Intel ARC GPU ? They're supported by Primegrid and Einstein@home and they're pretty decent in terms of performance. I've got an ARC A750 on a system dedicated to BOINC since november and it has been crunching WU 24/7 since :) |

Hello,As far as I am aware, the latest Intel GPUs don't have built-in FP64 support (so OpenCL would have to fall back on software emulation...) As the GPU app here is FP64, that would seem to make it a non-starter, I'm afraid. Cheers - Al. |

As far as I am aware, the latest Intel GPUs don't have built-in FP64 support (so OpenCL would have to fall back on software emulation...) You may have noticed that it has been quite a while since consumer grade GPU had decent FP64 built-in, when they have it at all Also the ARC A750 in my system handles very decently Primegrid and Einstein WU, some of these also using FP64... I don't think that SW emulation is a problem, more GPU support = more WU processed = more research.... |

Arc does not have hardware FP64 support at all. the Einstein tasks fall back to FP64 on the CPU when it's not available at all on GPU. but the time percentage of the tasks at einstein where FP64 is actually used is very small (at the very end), so the short time that it does something on CPU isn't very noticeable. but MW needs FP64 for 100% of the run, and the Arc card will grind to a halt, if it would even run at all (would depend on how the app is built). personally I think it would be a waste of time to try to run an app like MW on a GPU that only emulates FP64. don't hold your breath on a new app. they haven't deployed new GPU apps in like 4 years, and I'm not sure they ever had any Intel GPU app. Doesn't seem like anyone is doing any active development with the GPU apps, just using the old apps that they already have and know work. |

Arc does not have hardware FP64 support at all. . I know, I was even the one who mentioned it in the other projects forums ;-) Thank you for the other info ;-) |
