Hi
I have just updated my GPU driver for my Asus NVIDIA GT 1030 2GB GDDR5, to version 531.18 and now the GPU is no longer being utilised.
Utilisation was 97-100% on GPU before update, it is now only running 0.823 of a CPU and power consumption is very high. Remaining estimted
progress is now rising.
Considering that I have multiple jobs to start, is it worthwhile continuing until / if the issue with the GPU driver is resolved.

Cheers

1. Did you reboot the computer after the update?
2. Did you download the driver from nVidia? Those you get from Windows Update do not have OpenCL support included (at least those for my GTX 275 didn't).

If yes and yes, than post the start up messages from the BOINC client's log. And unhide your computers, so we can see them (or at least post a link to the details page of this computer).

Hi
Thanks for answering. It seems a reboot WAS what was needed to get the GPU to be utilised again.
I updated the driver from the NVIDIA website but a reboot wasn't specified. So on your suggestion, I ran one and the issue was resolved.

Cheers
Steve
