then i guess you'll never know.I thought you were the expert on GPUs and would know these things. The above was double spaced between sentences, I apologise for the forum software ruining my post. |

It sounds like you don't have enough RAM in the system to use it fully for that project. Add more RAM and watch RAM utilization.I just tell Boinc to use x% of RAM. If I see "waiting for memory" on any tasks, I add more. The above was double spaced between sentences, I apologise for the forum software ruining my post. |

Amicable numbers for gpu used 10 gb of ramI seemed to use 8. Didn't work too well on a machine with 8. The above was double spaced between sentences, I apologise for the forum software ruining my post. |

How are Validation inconclusive on the FINISHED Separation project being validated? There is a trickle being validated. |

How are Validation inconclusive on the FINISHED Separation project being validated? Tom turned the validator back on to clear them up. |

How are Validation inconclusive on the FINISHED Separation project being validated? it looks like all of mine are missing a tie-breaker. they have either two results + a third that timed out and never returned. or 1 result and a timeout not returned. without the generator sending out additional tie-breakers, these will never validate. I also thought Tom had commented that there wasnt anything he could do about these tasks. personally I think he should just purge/delete them to cleanup anything in this kind of pending-limbo state. |

personally I think he should just purge/delete them to cleanup anything in this kind of pending-limbo state.Agreed, although maybe Boinc server isn't that simple? I can imagine it getting annoyed if you just deleted files. If Tom's a physicist who doesn't know much about the Boinc server software, it may be easiest to tell it to clean itself up. It seems they've all gone anyway. So the only thing left is people without a check, so you don't get credit, not the end of the world. I can imagine it getting annoyed if you just deleted files.Need to delete those work units and results from the database, not some files. it may be easiest to tell it to clean itself up.It doesn't have the tools to do that anymore after they ripped separation out instead of just stopping the generation of new WUs. So they'll need to remove those results manually from the database or bring separation back for a clean up. |

I curious as well if Macs well be supported again in Nbody Can I help you in any way to port the application to macOS? I have a lot of BOINC and BOINC apps porting expiriance. It's no problem to sign and NDA for me, if required. |

That would be great, but the message you quote if from June, nothing since then. I hope the admin sees your post, maybe you should post the same in a topic related to that application of the project ? |

They have a Github repository, I'm unsure how up to date it is but at least you can do some tinkering and testing. Good luck with your project |

I see that trolls grow everywhere, even in beautiful projects. |

I see that trolls grow everywhere, even in beautiful projects. It was a fair comment. Why deliberately use an incompatible computer, then moan the program isn't available for it? The above was double spaced between sentences, I apologise for the forum software ruining my post. |

They have a Github repository, I'm unsure how up to date it is but at least you can do some tinkering and testing. I am still waiting for feedback from the project admins. No reaction on my PMs and forum posts. I would not invest time, because not shure if the would like to have an application ported by a other person. I a very long past at an other project, there was some issues with the generated results due some "optimization" which gave some problems for the project. |
