Your feedback told us to turn off the project ASAP

Usually when projects shut down, the validator is left running until all outstanding tasks are returned and processed. I don't think anyone thought everything was going to be shut down. Hence the up-rising that happened after the project was hard shut down.

Not that I care either way. Just clarifying the confusion.

Actually the most of the feedback was to stop the generation of new WUs instantly (and not wait until the 20th), but let BOINC take care of the rest until there are 0 separation tasks in progress, so everyone gets the credit for the work done. Yes, that would mean some wasted computational ressources for useless results for the science, but that would stil be a lot less than what was wasted by generating new work until the shutdown.

Well, can't change anything for separation now, but keep that in mind as feedback for the shutdown of nBody one day, just stop generating new work, when you have all you need and let BOINC do the rest.

Late to the party :( I just run this thing in the background and flushed out my remaining time expired tasks LOL. Ready for more now. My PC is good enough for me and I use this and folding at home to keep the PC room warm in winter. Summer is coming so I might be offline for 4 months. Best of luck with the science.
