Now that the GPU support here is done, what projects are people doing with their AMD GPUs? It looks like MW@H was the only BOINC project that took advantage of the double precision, and WCG and Einstein rarely send any WUs. |

Einstein has lots of BRP7 WUs, perhaps you just need to enable them in your preferences. |

Regarding Einstein work -- if you were only subscribed to the Gamma Ray Search you may not realize that that project has officially finished, so no more work! If that's the case, try the MeerKAT pulsar search instead (BRP7) -- it's not 64-bit but it is science work :-) [Edit - I see Link posted about that while I was composing this -- ah well...] As for WCG -- OPNG work tends to be a bit on/off (and they sometimes seem to restrict work availability over weekends to try fo avoid possible upload/download issues when there's no-one there to look into it. Also, they had some bad OPNG batches which caused a fairly long time-out through August and into September :-( It's worth exploring the forums for Einstein and WCG to keep an eye on what's going on :-) Cheers - Al. |

Good call. I had not selected that application. As soon as I did I started downloading GPU WUs. I wish it was easier to tell which ones are intended for CPUs and which are for GPUs (only 2 are explicit), but at least this got me what I wanted. Thanks! |

That and some kinds of tasks are no longer available but still listed |

I wish it was easier to tell which ones are intended for CPUs and which are for GPUsYou can see that better on the applications page. There you see OS, type of CPU (like x86, x86_64, ARM, whatever) and which GPUs are supported by which app. |

I've been cranking out NumberFields and Asteroids GPU WU. The reason I'm doing NumberFields is that they are no longer being funded and will have to shutdown the project if there are any hardware failures. So I'd love to see the project completed by that time. When it comes to Asteroids I love crunching space based projects. I started BOINC with SkynetProject and I will continue to focus on space based projects |

Universe@Home doesn't actually have any GPU tasks. They have a preference to use AMD GPU's, but no GPU applications. They have a recent forum post that says that they tried developing a GPU application some time ago, but failed. |
