In the Science section of the project section 3 has the following statement.

"Work In-Progress: The N-body project is currently under development, and is almost stable. Soon, we'll be running test data through through it to verify that the techniques work, then we'll start crunching simulations against real data! Eventually, we hope to to make N-body the main project on Milkyway@home, and to add GPU support"

Well N-Body is the main project now ... How are we doing on adding GPU support ?

Thanks

I believe buried somewhere down in all the forum threads is a post from the admin/devs that the attempt to develop a N-body gpu app was deemed infeasible and the attempt abandoned.

They need Petri's help, at least that way a Linux app would be available. It doesn't need to be incremently faster than cpu crunching, just comparable would help alot. Incremental steps can come thru time.

I thought that both Windows and Linux were currently supported ?

It is but Petri is a Linux guy only so if he was able to help he would only be able to help with a gpu app for Linux.
