Hi,

i have couple of low cache + high core count CPUs.
Was wondering, how much CPU cache each task use, to better utilize my setup

I can't see from HWiNFO 64 (as of yet) how much L1 and L2 cache's are being utilized. Generally tasks are high cpu and low memory so I'm guessing that includes the cache memory. The most important change to make is to run one task per core and not MT.

Thanks Keith, I just disabled MT on the project.
Was wondering if my Xeons have enough L3 to go single core, since they only have 1.365MB cache per core

Have to take a closer look.. for some reason the machine is running only 4WUs when using only single thread

Have you set "Max # of simultaneous MilkyWay@home tasks" to 4 perhaps? If yes, change it to no limit or at least something like 2x the number of cores.

Than something else is stopping BOINC from running more tasks, check your computing preferences. Since your computers are hidden, I've no idea even how many cores/threads your computers have.
