Something went wrong, got 524 new tasks where I normally have around 15 tasks in cache. According to the remaining estimates it's not short runs but normal length tasks.

I received 178 tasks, and some are long runners.
I will press on with them, and try to finish as many as I can before their deadline.

The time estimates seem to have become a bit random, or at least not actually related to the tasks sent. At one point they all estimated 15 minutes, but ended up taking between 5 mins and 20 hours. I keep my caches small because my PCs don't run 24/7, but they do get through the larger bursts before the deadline. But I can see how having a 3 day cache might get sent 3 weeks of work.
