Whenever a work unit aborts due to computation error, a Windows message appears stating that I must manually acknowledge the status before any more work can resume.

Please fix the Windows application so that this will not require any manual intervention by the user. This means that the next work unit will immediately start crunching!

we're working on it, there are some bad work units out there that are doing this -- it shouldn't happen again. i'm not quite sure why it didn't just give a computation error and instead decided to go right to having the popup windows error message, but we're looking into that as well.

I have on of my PC's having this problem a lot. Here is a link to one of the latest WU's. I originally thought that it might be because the PC wasn't finishing before the 60 minutes that I have my BOINC profiles set to, so I increased it to 70 minutes. I see no change on this W2K PC.

Got same problem on all of my current PC's. If they can work without interruption, everything seems to be OK, actual app/workunit finished and uploaded to server fine. But after interruption (eg. mouse-movements or something like that), I got the WinXP error message - so many messages, as many tasks was running...

(sorry for poor english)

The quick way to stop the annoying pop-ups is to disable error reporting. Instructions

Yes - I have one machine soley running Milkyway. The machine in question is an experiment itself considering it is running WIN98 on an AMD K6/166 with Boinc 5.10.28.

Had two today

I dont know whether this is related but I find that the pc's I have that are Intel get a computational error but the pc's I have that are AMD do not. It's very strange.

I'm tired of my machines not crunching due to Milkyway@home error and am detaching the project now. If the errors are resolved will someone please reply here or contact me so I can start crunching again.

Today when I got home both of my AMD WinXP PCs weren't crunching because of errors. One had a popup that required my attention and the other said that Milkyway was running, but the CPU time was real high compared to the completion time and neither time or progress was changing. I've had the same type of errors on my Intel WinXP work machines.

Hope these problems are addressed soon.

Also having the same hang up problem with all of my PC's. Both CPU time and progress time will freeze on random work units from Milkyway. Boinc will not shift to another project until the work unit is manually aborted. Occuring with my Vista PC, both XP PC's and also Windows ME. I will also be accepting no more work units until problem is resolved to eliminate down time. Will hookup again when problem is corrected or if requested for testing. Thanks.

I have just come back from a few days away to see the PC had stopped processing with a popup error.

I too have now set this project to "No new tasks" until it is fixed.

Y'all really need to see what is up with the Modified Fit code... the error rates are way too high and there is an obvious problem when running 2 7970 GPU's on a single Mobo even at stock settings or even reduced speed settings.

Other than that, I have to agree that at least "I" donate for the project, not to receive any gift in return. It's nice, but a cheapo case badge or something cheaper would be better from my point of view.

Keeping you all going is payback in itself!
