HP TX2500 series and failed work units

With the change over to the new application, my one computer, an HP TX2500 series laptop - AMD Athlon X2 QL-60 (out-of-the box Windows Vista standard set-up) - has started failing work units. It started with a just a few, then it became worse until, in the last couple of days, it is a 100% failure rate (compute error). It only does so for MilkyWay tasks and for no other project. All my other computers attached to MilkyWay have no problems. I have now aborted all remaining tasks and am no longer accepting new work on this laptop. If any one has an idea as to maybe why, in the next couple of hours; I'd appreciate a post. After that I shall detach the computer from MilkyWay. My thanks in advance but please be advised I am not going to waste any time trying out theories as it crunches other projects with no problem or wasted effort. -ChinookFöhn |

OK, then the next step is for you to unhide your host (at least temporarily) so we can take a look at the public data (the private stuff like IP addresses and hostname is not shown to the public). Otherwise, we have to go through a twenty questions session. ;-) Alinator |

Not any point as I've detached it. I've no time to waste trying to figure it out either as we've received about 3 metres of snow in the last 3 weeks and working on a finicky computer that fails on only 1 project is not even close to being a high priority for me. Maybe in the Spring I'll try attaching it again. Until then, thanks for any contemplated help. -ChinookFöhn |
