Let us know if you have any problems with v0.8. This should run a bit faster and the memory leak issue should be fixed. ![]() |

Is it still okay to continue using the opt. app. that you said was close enough? It is based on v0.7, I think. I don't see why not. It is only minor differences (I believe), not a whole different calculation. Mainly to fix the memory leaks. Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

Looks like linux is the culprit. I'm removing v0.8 for linux until we figure out what's wrong. ![]() |

The 64-bit version is bad as well: milkyway_0.8_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.6.9, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped |

Is it still okay to continue using the opt. app. that you said was close enough? It is based on v0.7, I think. I would say so as the memory leak issue and the low precision of the checkpoint files are already fixed in my SSE3 version I linked here. If there are no further important changes, I think there is no reason not to use my optimized version. |
