Let us know about any problems with the v0.14 application. |

V0.14 for Windos running OK here. Looks about the same run time as V0.13, but no WUs completed yet to give real times (but projections on the current crunching suggests a small improvement). |

V0.14 for Windoze completing fine here, but taking slightly longer and gaining half the credit (as announced). Looking forward to either seeing an optimised app or re-learning how to compile with the tools currently available :) |

V 0.14 also running fine on a number of Windows machines, maybe fractionally slower. Don't drink water, that's the stuff that rusts pipes |

V0.14 seems to dislike my old PIII Windows 98. All v0.14 tasks getting this message : ...Milkyway@home 25/01/2009 22:47:40 [error] Process creation failed: Un périphérique attaché au système ne fonctionne pas correctement. (0x1f) It never had this problem before. Now set to NNW, waiting for a reply or advice. Regards K.T. |

V0.14 seems to dislike my old PIII Windows 98. Can you translate the error for us? I don't speak French, and I would assume many here don't. My guess at it is: "A peripheral attached to this system has malfunctioned." If so, that's probably not related to Milkyway, or BOINC at all, so I don't know how it got there. |

Basically what Jedirock said; Google translate: A device attached to the system is not working properly. Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

The translation is correct. You want to be using v0.17 anyways now. There should be a version that works with Win98 |

The translation is correct. Sorry, it doesn't. I just gave it a new try and v0.17 behaves the same as v0.14. This probably has something to do with an API function recently introduced into your code, which unfortunately is not supported under Win98... Don't worry too much about this issue, this host surely deserves retiring, and the number of its ancient cousins contributing to MW should not be a big deal. Anyway, thanks to all for your replies.
