I don't know about being 'glad' with the project because I only recently joined. But it certainly is a worthwhile and interesting one.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm let me see........ I join...... get 700+ credits and then the server crashes and I no longer exist according to the server (when I finally get on) and Boinc Manager where I am asked for my email and password to get into my page and then informed that neither exist.

No longer a person/worker (rings a few bells, but that's another story) I hear that folks are getting WUs when I rejoin and yet have nowt to date.

So my gripes?? simple..... it appears that all info is held on just one puter...... are/were any backups done? Why just one computer for a server... why not split it into two?

and folks argue about credits??

Yes it's all on 1 server. A second could have been untilized months ago to seperate parts of the project when there was heavy demand (which has only increased). As for your user name not existing, that is probably due to that days info being lost. Work only went out for a short period today.

Well my MW@H buddies. The credits have taken a dive again and I haven't seen a change in the time it takes to complete the work unit using the MW@Home stock application. What a pitty, I could understand if the time to completion had dropped the proportionally, but it hasn't. Will devote more assets to GPU@home.

could this be due to losing the database??? i mean if they lost almost everything wouldnt that be changes made to the credit granting??? maybe their backup was done a week ago and the resent changes were lost????

hell the project still aint back on track yet so i would say give them alittle more time to get all their ducks back in a row and im sure the credit changes will get corrected :)

am i close???? i duno just gettin tired of micro-managing my machines to keep room open for MW when it comes back online if it ever does :P :P

would be nice to know if its gona be today or tomarro or next week so we all can go work on something else,, know how much work we can download from another project so were able to clear our cashes for MW's return to life :)

It kinda seems that they forgot to feed the ducks.

ya well lol thats what happens when ya dont feed them :P

they go look for food somewheres else :P so they are having

to go round them back up. same as crunchers if they cant get

fed here they will get food from another project but sooner

or later they will return same as the credit returning

back to what it was,,, i just wana see my machines

downloading some MW wu's then after thats fixed they can

adjust the credit back to where it was before the BIG CRASH !!!!!

Its certainly Interesting, especially at the times theres no work for the cruncher to do.

Not sure how I feel about losing 10 WUs. But hey ho. It's all part of the journey.

I joined this project in early January because seti was having some server problems. So started crunching milkway at home to fill in the gaps. So now im running seti full time to fill in the gaps here. Whod a thunk it.

I started this ID on here to test compiles of the client on different machines, but then someone said I was a spy.

10? Well, then you can imaging how I feel having lost over 600 WUs.

Glad you like it, I made it with stills from 'print screening' until I captured the images I needed to put together in a gif. The trick with the 'wink' was to offset the closed eye so the eyes appears to move forward. There's always fun to be had with images ;)

Probably more annoyed than I would be :D

I've always crunched Boinc more for the science than for the credit anyway. As long as good science is being done I'm happy.

Well...

If all around here is like in SETI (credits, outages, etc...), I come back to SETI. Why I must been here if the thing is the same as in a 'real project'?
