I like how this project is handled and this is the only boinCidoinc project I run nowadays.

Yep this project has my vote :-P. Because it seems to be run a lot better than some of the other so called production projects. It has something most of the others dont, it has someone on the team that actually replies to questions in a timely manner & gets involved with the concerns of the crunchers & he does it very professionally, considering the number of different people & problems he deals with almost every day. I hope he keeps his good nature long enough to get this project into real production. Well thats my 2cents worth anyway.

I would disagree with some of that. ie: Many of the questions I have asked go unanswered.

I try and answer as many as I can. I might miss a few here and there in 250+ post threads about credit however. :P

Well... Please make your complains here...

I think Logan hates us :(

*edit*

Also, very sneaky of him to post this the day after we get a snowstorm. One foot of fresh snow = at the mountain all day :)

The only real issue that a few complain about is the credit given for crunching.

As things are going now, I am content but would like to see the credit back to the recent levels and/or the availability of a Windos optimised client.

The only things what I hate are the constant changes of criteria to stablish what are the parameters of the project (credits, WUs length, limits...)

Best regards.
Logan.

No "complaints" from me here anymore.

The favicon is set, that was the only thing I still waited for. ;-D

Rest is pretty well handled from the project staff in my eyes. :-)

Well, the project is still " Alpha ", and you have to deal with all kinds of
changes being implemented........

One thing I don`t understand, is the " no opt. app. for Windows " issue, and
therefore I ceased crunching this project, although I`m really interested
in the science of MW.

Best regards

Kurt

There are some working on that. I had a go at compiling for Win. I have got stuck but I should be able to work it out with enough time.

Unfortunately real_life@home and life@work are very busy and demanding. My wife is busy writing her master's thesis and that is sucking a lot of her time away. I'm reading it when she gives me a copy, working on my PhD (programming, experiment set up and result processing being the current major tasks) and writing my own research paper. Then there are all the chores in life to do. And so on.

When I get some free time and my brain isn't completely fried out (I think I blew a couple of fuses in it) then I have another go at compiling Win apps.
Never surrender and never give up. In the darkest hour there is always hope.

Life is like that, and busy busy busy comes in bunches at times.

We are aware some are trying to compile opti clients for Win. I certainly look forwards to your efforts, especially is the result is OKed by Travis and Dave and released to the wild.

Labbie

It was pointed out to me by Dune, and I looked in. Obviously I could not post a thanks, so I asked Dune if he could/would.

Thanks for the thoughts by you guys and the compliment.

As you know I crunch here and Einstein for TFFE. But, perhaps I should be persuaded?

quoting the news: "It was a bit low compared to what you were getting before, so I've upped it to be in line with what it was. However I think we might have to do some kind of credit adjustment because the project's awarded credit as a whole is pretty high in comparison to the number of users."

now that's a new brillant idea - no user should earn more than x credits a day.

already bought the urn to bury your project?

i'd really like to get hands on that stuff YOU are smoking..

i second that oppinion. its drastically spoken, but true. Most users choose MW, because it has the best credtit/CPU second ratio and so did I.

Additionally I support MW, because of its scientific cause. I´d rather not compute for Sudoku@home and the like.

so I´m very happy, especially with the credit-situation ;)

Well my MW@H buddies. The credits have taken a dive again and I haven't seen a change in the time it takes to complete the work unit using the MW@Home stock application. What a pitty, I could understand if the time to completion had dropped the proportionally, but it hasn't. Will devote more assets to GPU@home.

Yea, no answer as to why the credit is only ~15% of what it was 3 days ago.
