Been getting this: 2/3/2009 6:02:12 PM|Milkyway@home|Message from server: Project is temporarily shut down for maintenance I assume something is being done. Right? Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

It's back. I just had to wait for the shared memory to clear out to restart it. |

feeder milkyway Not Running Yeah, i stopped it to update the config.xml file to allow for a greater daily WU quota. Had to wait a couple minutes to restart it because it takes the shared memory a little time to clear out. If i start it too soon the feeder craps out. |

Hi Travis, The project is not sending the stats info to boinc and others to update the stats. I thought you may want to know. DD, |

Hi Travis, Is this still happening? It looks like it has been running the export on the stats info. |

Is this still happening? It looks like it has been running the export on the stats info. The stats at boincstats.com were updated this evening, so there should have been an export. Dragons can fly because they don't fit into pirate ships! |

Is this still happening? It looks like it has been running the export on the stats info. I see an update on boincstats, that site seems to be having a few small probs. My total was + 423 since update, but on the MW page it didn't show it, now it's up on that page but not on the singup page yet. So I think BS is just a tad slow lately. Willy has made a few changes so perhaps he is still working on something. Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

Working on it...busy bee busy bee. We're trying to solve the mystery of the sql server chomping up 150% of our cpu cycles. Since we have 2 cpu's it goes up to 200%. Dave Przybylo MilkyWay@home Developer Department of Computer Science Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute |

The backlog has been counting up to 16 hours now. Possibly that is part of the slow down. Maybe a purge will help? Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

Right, we need the unexpurgeted edition. Speaking of which (not really) looks like the database problems have gotten worse this afternoon -- at least the home page and message base are live at the moment though. I've 'suspended' Milkyway for now to let the cycles go elsewhere -- hope to be able to change that back tonight or tomorrow. NO no purging,,, it rots your teeth!!!! |

Why not purge? That's what was done numerous times and got the validator/or whatever going again. The last couple days was not a result of a purge. Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |
