You had radar interference or an 80' satellite dish up your a$$? me@rescam.org |

What is the purge set at? The WUs seem to be disappearig pretty quick. Aside from the errored ones & aborts. Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

I think that there should be some credit given for those lost in the myre of mw, on a pro rata sys or something. 24 on my system alone not to mention the people with multiple boxes crunching. Glenn |

If anything, the credit granted from the new searches, nm_x_r<1-5> should be higher than the older searches. Travis, have you changed the settings for the credit limit? I see here 0.09 credits per second for the GPU app, but still 0.03 credits per second for the CPU. Or is this dependend on the WU and just random. Would be nice to have the limit for the GPU app a bit higher ;) |

No I think this is what happened: Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

Imagine if I had an 80' dish. Then imagine what the neighbours would think if I put it in the backyard... Never surrender and never give up. In the darkest hour there is always hope. |

But you know it is way faster than any CPU and will still get less than a quad core. But for the time being (alpha test phase) it may be okay just to hurt the testers not too much for running it ;) |

i've been running the gpu thingy since sunday and only had problems twice. both times wu's locked up, and I would have to abort all 16 running work units to free things up and allow new wu's to process. the 2nd time it happened i was actually at the machine: vista popped up an error that the graphics drivers stopped responding and it restarted them. that's when the wu's locked up. but once i aborted all 16, the next batch took off fine. i just installed the new version you posted. i'm hoping new wu's are released before i go to bed to make sure nothing bad happens... |

No WUs coming through at the moment; Front page news. There won't be any work today. (Allegedly.) me@rescam.org |

I didn't look at all my systems but the one that I did check, the credit looks the same as before the downtime. However, since the downtime, of the units it has crunched, about 20% have been awarded credit and the remaining 80% are pending. I'm not used to seeing work units in the pending state here. |

Travis/Dave Any information as to when you think you might be able to split and issue new work? I have watched the Server status showing the results in progress slowly coming down from about 20K during today, and the Transitioner backlog time growing from 3 hours. Results ready to send 0 Results in progress 7,747 Workunits waiting for validation 0 Workunits waiting for assimilation 0 Workunits waiting for deletion 0 Results waiting for deletion 0 Transitioner backlog (hours) 13 From the rate of fall of the work in progress, and the transitioner catching up on it's backlog, can you give a UTC time indication of when the splitters might be started? This assumes you do not hit any other issue with the servers. |

yes any news on when we are going to be seeing new wu's???? Not quite sure... Something is wrong with our mysqld, it's taking up pretty much all milkyway's CPU and not letting the transitioner do anyting -- so even since i've generated a bit of work it's not getting out to you guys. We're trying to figure out what's wrong. Unfortunately I don't have an ETA yet :( |

More to the point, if 80% of work done since the system came online last night has not yet been validated, why does the server status say "Workunits waiting for validation 0 "? |

We're having some problem with something hammering the database, which is making the transitioner do nothing, which I think is the issue... trying to track it down. |

Probably a few giant pharms wanting thousands of wu's. Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |
