hehe well i am really scared with my temps. I have only 9 x 120 mm fans in my little 90 cm high case :D i see my 5 processes running 100% giving my nvidia vc 65 C and my poor little amd 9850BE cpu 4 x 55 C xD. But saw something funny today also, a seti cuda unit run along with a gpu grid one so giving me 6 processes at same time :D |

hehe well i am really scared with my temps 5 processes running 100% Mine was running at 81 C, but I knocked the overclocking back a bit and to 73 C. However, I suspect the temperature drop has something to do with standing idle waiting for work... |

Can't comment on GPUs yet, but I can tell you that it's not just GPUs that get hot without much overclockng. My latest CPU (AMD FX74 - don't ask!) should run at 3.0GHz. At 2.8GHz it overheats (got up to 105C when it cut out the first couple of times!). I have to run it at 2.6GHz to keep it below 85C, even after skimming the Thermaltake heatsink (it looked like a ploughed field!) and adding intake and outlet fans. Gonna be getting better cooling for it and treating it as experience for when I get an i7 (or AMD equivalent...) system with 4 heavy duty GPUs :) |

Naaaa, BOINC isn't a word, but 'Join Team England' are certainly 3 words :P Must be me. I can remember using log tables and slide rules before Bill Gates even invented MS-DOS. |
