The main link for this thread - zslip.com - has been changed to a commercial site offering a medical remedy, its also too big to use anyway as its now slowing typing to a crawl. It should be deleted. It was mentioned that the link was changed months ago. I agree a new post with all availiable d/l links, info about them and locked would be good. Keep it simple for new users. Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

A fix for the precision issue on HD5800 series GPUs is ready. This is a required update for anyone using a HD5830, HD5850, HD5870 or HD5970 card with the anonymous platform mechanism (a.k.a. optimized app with app_info.xml). The perfomance is should be not affected. Please update as soon as possible! People using the stock app should wait until the project rolls out the changes. |

My site it updated. I left the 0.22 AMD files in place as they still work fine for the 38xx and 48xx series. Posted a note that 58xx users must use the 0.23 ATI version and have Catalyst 9.3 and above installed. http://www.arkayn.us/milkyway/ |

Optimized apps for both Milkyway and Seti can be found at creditsathome.com - which happen to point to arkayn's site, but is really easy to remember. me@rescam.org |

Your 8350 does support SSE3, it is probably listed under PNI(Prescott New Instructions) which is SSE3. For the moment you can run the SSE3 version until Travis goes fully to the milkyway3 apps. http://www.arkayn.us/milkyway/linux_0.18d2_64_sse3.tar.gz |

Just got my hands on a agp 3850 card for my old cruncher got the latest Cat drivers from ati But looking at the opp apps just have a query on which ones to use CPU is an old Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz which has sse2 running win7 32bit looking at the opp apps should i use the 0.22 sse2 amd or the 0.23 sse2 ati its not a amd cpu (unless this is something to do with amd owning ati?) so i should use the 0.23 but when i click on the link at www.arkayn.us the zip file is no longer there could somebody clarify please Ta T |

Problem fixed, I had the SSE2 and 0.23 transposed on the name on the server. |

I run with the b-1 parameter on my cards, it brings the time down a little bit. |
