I don't have that many AMD boxes - I think I only have 6 so I am limited to what I can do there. LOL - that's funny! That's close to how many boxes (Intel and AMD) I have altogether! I'm not taking offense, nor am I envious (well, maybe a little), nor do I think there was any hidden meaning or agenda in the comment. I just think that it's a hoot: "I only have 6" - indeed! That's quite weird about your OS issues. If I were to ever do something similar, I would be using linux, anyway. If I ever decide to try it, perhaps I'll send you a PM to find out if you have any advice on how to set it up. |

Crash on the SETI box.. Got up this morning and the box that was running SETI had crashed... Blue Screen of DEATH!!! Best I can tell, last time it reported to the server was 5 Mar 2009 5:13:21 UTC it is now 5 Mar 2009 14:22:53 UTC That would put it to just over 9 hours - No other way to tell how long it has been down. I have turned off the MW box @ 5:10 UTC - and can turn it back on in 9 hours. OR.. We can just call it quits now. add up the totals after SETI has had time validate. . |

Machine is back up and running.. just replaced the RAM - only took me 5 minutes to get it back up and running once I found that it had crashed. . |

I'd say that's up to you & your elec bill. :P Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

Well, the current CPCS values have MW at about 1.38X, so it was lower than I expected, but I'm still wondering about if the host here ran out of work at all and if you perhaps ran into a lengthy run of high paying tasks over there that helped offset... |

Host never ran out of work. Never once. As to the question to the high paying WU's I am not sure what you mean there.. we have run this test over an extended length of time to even things out - so this should not be an issue. . |

Certain angle ranges have a better cs/time ratio than others. I scanned through some of the tasks earlier and there were some that were in the 7000 second range that were close to the same granted credit as those in the 9000-10000 second range... That's what I'm talking about... Oh, and I don't think 11 days is really long enough for SETI. It's plenty long for here because as long as Travis doesn't change the credit rates, there isn't that much of a variance in the cr/hr (cpcs as reported in the export)... However SETI has a much longer time to validate, thus the cpcs value can vary more than what it does here...especially if the stragglers are either low or high paying... |

In the moment: MW 12,703 Seti 9,566 (added all pending) Ratio 1.328 for MW update: today we have MW 24,564 Seti 18,149 (added all pending) Ratio 1.353 for MW ratio quite stable. Dragons can fly because they don't fit into pirate ships! |

So MW stock is better on Intel systems. Wonder which is better on AMD... I can tell you also that Seti (Astropulse) optimised is better than MW optimised (by a pinch) on my IntelCPU, but MW by far outshines Seti on AMD :) |
