Remember, we measure in Cobblestones as opposed to Whetstones, Dhrystones, or Flintstones ... What about grindstones? |

... I just ended my little experiment. Here are the numbers: MW: 4827 Seti: 4619 (including pending up to now) I expected MW to be a bit higher, but it's still not below Seti. :) Now I put the opti apps back in place to get more... mic. |

[unashamed off topic] Hm, then Rolling Stones? ;-D Oi! watch it you lot. I was around in Richmond upon Thames in the early 1960's when they first started out..... And I'm still firing on all 6 cylinders.... :-)) [/unashamed off topic] |

... Well done for doing that mic. It makes me wonder where it leaves all those claiming that no project awards higher than SETI. And well done Travis for a good credit pitch. |

Remember, we measure in Cobblestones as opposed to Whetstones, Dhrystones, or Flintstones ... If we could only get gemstones instead of cobblestones for our work. 4870 GPU 4870 GPU |

Just an update for Unit 8. Turns out it has been running the stock SAH app since last September. I switched it over to check the NT4 compatibility workaround, and then must have decided to keep it stock. Alinator |

Not been very exciting...ZZzzzzzzzzz.... Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

Here's some info for you: Not all CPU/OS combinations give the same results. The SETI version is the optimized AK version; the MW is also supposed to be optimized. This comparison is why I put my Intel Macs back on SETI full time - it's a waste of my time and electric bill to run MW at these credit levels. C |

The OS X application doesn't seem to be hugely optimized. I'm going to take a crack at it in the coming days. |

I'm glad that it's not just a case of which is better, but running tests like this to see if improvements can be made for MilkyWay. |

From the way I read it Milkway is giving nearly 1.3 times the amount of credit per host running both projects than SETI. I wonder how the GPU crunching is affecting this statistic? |

Looking at this chart I read MW giving about 1.625 times what seti is giving. 1.3 divided through 0.8. Dragons can fly because they don't fit into pirate ships! |

I think the chart reads that Mw is 1.3x seti or seti is .8x of mw. If one is base (1) than the other is multiplied (X). *edit* took chart image off. Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

Ok, thanks. Now I understand what had been my error. Yeah, the 1.3 and the 0.8 are corresponding. Dragons can fly because they don't fit into pirate ships! |

Ok, thanks. Now I understand what had been my error. Yea, not the best layout. Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |
