>I didn't realise broadband in the UK was still sold at 512kbps Yah, I know, I'm British and live in the UK, you know? My point was that I didn't realise that any ISP sold 512kbps packages. Given he's on the 8MB package and the line speed is purely one for stability, kinda makes my question moot. The advantage when I used to live in Hull was that I knew people who worked in the exchange for the one company that had a monopoly over the phone lines. Thus problem with settings their end = problem solved quicker. Still, ASDL sucks big time; what's the point in having 8MB down and only 448kbps up? </rhetoric> Anyway, GPUs. My two 4850s are very different when trying to overclock. From 650/1000, one of them does around ~5% over the normal to 680/1050, and the other I can push to ~10% = 710/1100 quite easily. |
