ISPs in Britain, and probably most other places, call anything faster than dialup 'broadband'. So you can have, here in Oz anyway, 128kbps 'broadband'.
Its advertising, therefore its lies. It might be the big lie, it might be a small lie, but its still... :)

My point was that I didn't realise that any ISP sold 512kbps packages. Given he's on the 8MB package and the line speed is purely one for stability, kinda makes my question moot.

The advantage when I used to live in Hull was that I knew people who worked in the exchange for the one company that had a monopoly over the phone lines. Thus problem with settings their end = problem solved quicker.

Still, ASDL sucks big time; what's the point in having 8MB down and only 448kbps up? </rhetoric>

Anyway, GPUs. My two 4850s are very different when trying to overclock. From 650/1000, one of them does around ~5% over the normal to 680/1050, and the other I can push to ~10% = 710/1100 quite easily.
