When I look at my account page for MW, I have this at the bottom:

Projects in which you are participating
Project
Click for user page Total credit Average credit Since
SETI@home 8,411 530 27 Jan 2000
PrimeGrid 74 3 22 Feb 2009

Why doesn't MW show up and how can I link it? When I attached MW and tried to connect as existing user, it told me username or password not correct, even though I typed my BOINC credentials in correctly. So I had to attach as a new user, and I gave the same username and pwd from my existing BOINC projects.

Give it a day. That read-out isn't immediate. It's there now:

As for the latter, Boincstats only shows 1 user with your name: ccappel.
Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected?
If it makes sense, DON'T do it.

Hi All,

I have recently attached to the MW project on a clean box with no other projects running.

It has the latest BOINC and I used the new user option with my normal user name and password and also set up my team.

My reults, however, show me as a new user to my team and does not show any details from my other projects.

I have also attached another box to the Project but cannot obtain any new taks.

Any help or guidance on how I can merge these two accounts would be gratefully received.

Regards to all crunchers.

Boinc stats lists you twice. Either you have a split-cpid or some detail is differet when you signed up with MW.

Thanks for your info, I seem to have two countries for the team. One is International the other is the UK. As the founder of both I have tried to change the MW one to International but so far without effect.

How would one change the CP ID?

Regards to all crunchers.

It lists your team as International now, must have just taken a bit to sort itself out.

*edit* Try to change your MW id to International. Don't know if it will work. For whatever reason your Mw id is not combining with your other ones. Is your info the same for Mw as your other projects? Something must be different.

go to http://boincstats.com/ and type your id in and you will see 2 results.

*edit 2* from http://boincstats.com/page/faq.php#14
Why do I have duplicate/split accounts in the BOINC combined stats?

The cause of this is the CPID, Cross Project IDentifier. Every project assigns a new user a CPID. It is partly based on the email address you used to sign up, the other part is random.
The CPID is used by BOINCstats to identify a user across projects.
Whenever you sign up with a new project, you'll get a new account on BOINCstats because the CPID is new.

What to do to make sure you'll end up with one BOINCstats account:
Use the exact same email address for every project.
Run at least one system with all projects, or one system with project A and B, and one system with project B and C. If there is a project that runs isolated from the other projects, its CPID with never line up.
When you join a new project, this project assigns you a new CPID. This CPID can either change to the same CPID as the other projects, or the other projects change (one by one) to the new CPID.

It is impossible for me to manually edit your accounts to create one account. It would take to much time too do this for everyone. Just wait a while, and your accounts will line up automatically.

One last thing, which is not too important, but nice for the stats: use the same username across projects, otherwise you get a username like 'Al Bundy @ SAH / Al Bundy @ Predictor / A. Bundy @ CPDN'.
