Don't know if it's true... (you read so much stuff on the net.) But Canadian Geese are the only monogamous birds around. And if a mate gets hit by a car or dies an untimely death in someway. There are many feral flocks of these very noisy things that come around in bunches of about 20 like demented starlings, mind you theyre very entertaining to see hanging upside down trying to eat peanuts.
