I read something once on Canadian Geese. Don't know if it's true... (you read so much stuff on the net.) But Canadian Geese are the only monogamous birds around. And if a mate gets hit by a car or dies an untimely death in someway. His (her) mate will stay nearby until he (she) eventually dies. I thought that was interesting. And somewhat sweet in a weird way. (If not a bit crazy.)

First place she's going will be the scrap yard to see what she can get out of my ankle.

When I was up at York Uni some years ago for an OU summer school, the place was over-run by geese, and I'm pretty sure they were the Canada type! |

No more problems with the geese now.. They are all boiled in Did you boil their mates too? Don't want them sitting around waiting.

If they are Canadian Geese, hope they aren't drunk!!! Theres lots of water in my part of London and they always seem to turn up just after dusk, spooky when you walk along a quiet road in the dark and someone says blart from nearby. There are many feral flocks of these very noisy things that come around in bunches of about 20 like demented starlings, mind you theyre very entertaining to see hanging upside down trying to eat peanuts. |

That would be your local drunk on his way home from the Three Bells... There are many feral flocks of these very noisy things that come around in bunches of about 20 like demented starlings, mind you theyre very entertaining to see hanging upside down trying to eat peanuts. They are probably from the world famous Ringnecked Parakeet colony at Esher Rugby Club just a few miles from me...... |
