My dual Xeon workstation cooked either the motherboard or power supply unit and my lappy toasted it's AC adapter. Guess I should have listened to my wife and gave them a rest... Main dealer wanted Â£250 to replace it so I got my tame BMW mechanic to source me a secondhand one, and spray it to match for Â£100. Mot'd on Wednesday, taxed this morning.
