It is pretty obvious that a limit has been set by the project admins...why and what is the limit? And why is there a difference limit between before the outrage and after the outrage?

Could the addition of the Gpu portion on the server be taking resources away from the current setup? Daily quota is 5k, wasn't it up to 8k after gpu support was added?
Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected?
If it makes sense, DON'T do it.

5000 wu's a day would mean I'd be getting over 100,000 credits per day on my quady with the 4850, but I'm lucky to get in the high 20,000's. Purely from a wu time of completion exercise I'd max out in the high 70,000's.

I tried and tried and tried, but my GPU machine was refused units. I walked across the room to my i7 and turned MW back on and it magically was given a bunch of units. I doubt the 5 seconds it took me to walk suddenly produced a bunch of units, so something else is going on on the backend.

There is no credit limit that I know of. The limit you are seeing is the physical limit of the machine we use I believe. I'm not sure why it has changed after the outage, perhaps the database inconsistency slowed things up.

Is it a MySQL? This can be. We have had strange effects as well after a database-crash. As well, it's never wrong to do an occasional "optimize table ..." (we do it every night by a cronjob since then).

Nah, it's a conspiracy. You intentionally did it. I know you and your type. See, you'd never admit to it because then you couldn't have "plausible deniability". ;-)

Everything went pear shaped just when I bought my HD4850. So I guess that means I can still break technology with just a single positive thought :)
