I think the strangest food I've eaten has to be:
Roasted Grasshoppers and Chocolate Covered Roasted BEES!!
I'm Allergic to be stings, although I didnt know that when I ate the Bees.
( No Problems arose from that so I guess Bees dont sting after death.)

Since becoming single, my own cooking.
Stick stuff in pan, stirr around for a bit, wonder what to call it.
If it tastes wierd, add more crushed garlic.

Ostrich meat is very tasty actually! Ive eaten it several times. ;-)

Ive also eaten Whale several times. I expect
many see that as a horrible thing. ;-)
But its an exellent meat on them. Very tasty!

What I have eaten Once.. and I can assure
you it will be with that One time is

Seal meat. uhhh..!

What a horrible consistency. Almost like sponge.
Its because the meat in a seal is built to
contain as much blood as possible, for the seals
to be able to dive into deep, and to be under the
water for so long. I dont know if any other sort of
animal has any similar meat.. Well.. It was a bad
experience.

Giraffe Roasted, Elephant Burgers and Beaver burgers, these are some of the different exotic meats a friend of mine had me try. They all tasted GOOD, a little different but tasty just the same.
We had 9 children at the cottage that weekend, all ate the same meats I did and liked it, until we told them what they had eaten!!! It didnt bother the wee ones but the older kids still give me a hard time about the "poisoning"!!! ;-P

Morning Bruce. It was a while ago and I really can't remember, although an even stranger food I tried was caviar at 35,000 feet on Concorde. The caviar was horrible and Concorde cramped, but I think I'd like to try wild boar again so I can tell you ;)

Yes I've tried Caviar a couple times, I just dont see how anyone can consider it Gourmet Food? Salty fish eggs is exactly what it tastes like to me!
Probably make good bait for Salmon fishing though.

Good morning Moon!
Caviar must be an acquired taste, but I'm with you it is not my idea of a good snack.

How about a bite of a veggie-burger? Very bad tasting.
Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected?
If it makes sense, DON'T do it.

The ones I like dont pretend to be meat-ish, just a potato-cake stuffed with onion cabbage broccoli corn etc...

Well it was about 10 years ago. And I refuse since too. Same with tofu 'meat', can't be the same.
