Rømmegraut must have been one of the strangest sounding food I have eaten.

Rømmegraut must have been one of the strangest sounding food I have eaten.

Now that does look strange, Google Translate suggests:

"Graut is created by a kokar sour cream and / or sour whistle on low heat.
Different cereal can be mixed in, such as halibut, buildings, semolina - or risgryn."

I'm sure AriZona Moon can tell you what it is. If not, I'll dig out a recipe.

I am going to have to go see Moon and try some of her Rømmegraut, some friends were talking about it at a BBQ party the other day. I also hear that there are more and more people going there, so many that the ferries can't handle them all.

What you do today you will have to live with tonight

Ferries? There's more than one now?

Ice, I dont think that is of much importance to you. But as you very well
know, there is only one... still it can go many times in a day.
That was not too difficult, was it? ;-)

Surely there is more than one ice breaker out there? Jaws and Speedy Gonzales must still be going round and round. Or did one of them sink, and Jaws II also?

Not the strangest food (ready made pizza), but strange because my son for the first time ever decided to make me dinner and braved the kitchen to use the oven. There was a moment of great drama over the missing spatula, but he persevered and actually bought me a plate of pizza all nicely sliced and a glass of diet Pepsi.

I'm still in shock.

As for eating i try almost everything but i have some i never want to eat again even though they taste well like whale.
To the answer which was for Ice the taste of "Wild Boar" is much stronger then pig in general it has a strong groundy taste.
In general male boar/pig taste much stronger and the bigger they are it gets less tasty.
If you ever ate Red Deer/Bambi you know the strong taste.
Also ate roasted grashoppers (very nice),baked earth worms ( very very tasty ),
big white worm of beetle from roots of tree in africe ( taste like chicken )
And baked snake ( nice taste depending how its made )
Baked squirrel and many birds like sparrow and so on
Many types of shrimps and octopus too many to say which tasted good or not.
But in most cases it depends fully on the one who prepares the food.
I a kinda spoiled with food i luv nice food , so i am struggling with my weight 220 pounds ;)

so to loose weitght its just to stop eating grasshoppers? hehehe..

It sounds like you have tried out quite a bit uBronan. ;-) I cant say
Ive eaten so much "strange" .. but as mentioned before, that seal meat
im not going to try again. Ive also eaten Great Cormorant and Common Eider.
The last one is absolutely the best. The cormrant has a very dark meat, and
tastes too much sea-bird - but the eider is much milder and lighter meat.
Ive also eaten reindeer, red deer and moose. All good.. but i prefer the
first two.

Fish... well.. Ive tasted many sorts.. and those who look ugliest is the
best. ;-))

Hihih yeah i am trying to get some weight of my front spoiler ;)

Hmmm Eider hmm sounds tasty,
Sadly they are protected here we so are not allowed to eat them :D

And yes i have been travelling a lot of mostly europe and africa for the jobs i did and for pleasure, with every trip you find some weird food which ofcourse had to be tested by me.

Ofcourse i did test the local drinks also in france/italy/greece is kinda hard to keep up. Almost every new village has its own local best wine ofcourse ;)

Its hard for a guy who loves to eat good food ;), my buddies are all chefs at some known restaurants which does not make it easier for me :D
