I have seen somewhere, CPUGrid IIRC, instructions for doing so. Requires changes to xml files, I think.
Cheers,

From a project perspective, what's the difference between the following messages?

Message from server: (Project has no jobs available)
and

You reported a task at the same time as the fetch in the first case, and didn't in the second.

I dont see what he's worried about, most of us run Seti too, along with a number of other projects he seems to be involved with. Oh well I was curious thats all. Thanks for the insight. ;-) Maybe his motivation is jealousy???

hei Bruce ;-)
--------------

Crunchers..

Im not any expert on DA, and I`ll stay away from analyzing him in special. ;-))

But in general - all bad behaviour, fighting, flaming, jealousy, lies, denial, and other ways to try to put other people or projects or business down, is always fear - fear for not being good enough and/or fear that others may be better..

but - who is making the rules for what is "better", but those who fear it.

Credits in all Boinc projects shall indeed show the contribution to the science,
and is also fun. But to sit and argue over and over again about who is "getting" what, who is "stealing" what, who is right and who is wrong.. that is probably what ruins most of all for these projects. Is there any way we can
be happy for being Able to contribute with what each and one of us can manage, instead of claiming each other for being "wrong" ?

I am happy to be here, and those who can crunch much more than me, they do Only that; crunch more than me. I do not see them as "better" because of it, or as if they "steal" anything from me.. They dont. What i dont have cant be stolen from me. If others getting more WU`s and more credit than I do, the job is still done. I didnt come here because i was in Right to "Claim my WU`s." But to participate in the way i was able to, and by what my computers get to work with.

We can all continue to argue.. or we can rest in the knowledge that who ever get WU`s, the job is getting done. When time is there, it might be easier for everyone to get more.. but it comes when it comes.. not by anyone shouting about
unfairness. Please take a rest......... and be happy for your neighbours good luck. ;-)

Hi Moon
I still want a couple more WU's anyway. My Rac is really dropping, from around 3300 b4 to 1150 now, tired of pushing the update button. Oh well no point in getting worked up about it(wrong thread for that);-P Looking forward to the start-up of GPU Site. That should take some of the load off this project, making it a little easier to get WU"s.

Hopefully. With 500 users ther already, hopefully the gpu site can keep them satisfied too.

Hei Miss Moon.

I think that the sentiments that you are suggesting are 100% correct, unfortunately distributed computing being what it is, means different things to many people. For some it is a hobby that they can enjoy, pick up or put down, as they wish. For others it is a way of life, it means absolutely everything to them.

We each try to play our part in the overall scheme of things, and our contributions are neccesarily different. Nevertheless, there is never any cause, nor reason, for bad language, bad temper, or ill humour. That is for all of us to be aware of.

That depends on whether those 500 users have nVidia cards and signed up for nVidia crunching.

;-) How nice to see someone agree with me in here.. ;-))

..at least 100% .. but when we talk crunching, the top is probably not 100%
but 150% ;-D

Well... all I mean is that it would be good if we stop blaiming each other.. It only makes a negative environment.
Want to share some chocolate with me? Right now i have a pretty good RAC, and
I want to celebrate it whilst its still on that level.. ;-) It may soon enough
go back down to what it was for months.... close to nothing. ;-)
