The regular seasonal flu has killed more than 13,000 people in the U.S. since January, and kills between 250,000 and 500,000 worldwide annually.

So what? I take it 'regular' flu comes around 'regularly' and makes 'regular' people sick all the time on a 'regular' basis' What has that got to do with an outbreak of a flu that happens once in a blue moon for which there is no known cure and could well mutate and kill millions rather than just make many millions sick? (In a very highly irregular way).

Heck, people who wear shoes usually have shoe laces so swine flu and it's dangers must be discounted. Oh my god, I have three shoe laces!

WHO warns swine flu 'unstoppable'

The UN's top health official has opened a forum in Mexico on combating swine flu by saying that the spread of the virus worldwide is now unstoppable.

"For a pandemic of moderate severity, this is one of our greatest challenges: helping people to understand when they do not need to worry, and when they do need to seek urgent care"

There are a couple of reported cases at my school and I am home with aches and pains, headache and shortness of breath. If I do have it, it looks like I have a mild case. I've been feeling very unwell all weekend.

Sorry to hear that. I don't believe that they are testing individuals to confirm it any more now, but I think your GP should be informed. We still have suspected cases at College but nothing confirmed yet.

Thankfully I'm not sick, Although for the last couple of days My calf muscles and knee/ankle joints were protesting as I'd had to climb up and down a step stool as the printer paper had jammed and the printer had the tractor friction lever in the wrong position, I took some aspirin later yesterday and today I'm feeling better, but sick? Nope, No one here has the N1H1 flu that I'm aware of, Now If only My 17yr old cat Angel would quit waking Me up at dawn. :D

I have heard that elderly people don't need that much sleep, maybe this applies to cats as well? *grin*

HaHa, I might have some gray in My beard(around the chin area), But I still need at least 6 hours to function. Angel is mostly well trained, If I tell Her to jump on the sofa She will do It, If I tell Her to lay down on the sofa, She knows where to do It and She knows Her name and the word NO too.

She just tosses a hairball sometimes, And She did that today, But I got Her to the sink and washed It all away, I don't think Angel will ever get the swine flu as She's a Cat(Felis catus).
