Funny how cyber bullies behave the same everywhere. My son's friend had a conversation on his page on Facebook where kids were bragging about a 'fight' which was 6 kids beating up one. Although my son doesn't particularly like the kid that was being beaten up he spoke out against the cowardly actions of the kids who beat him up pointing out that 6 against 1 wasn't a fair fight.

It's now escalated to the point where my son's mobile number is being passed around and we are receiving calls after midnight and kids are threatening to beat him up.

From my own experience with cyber bullying I am totally not surprised about this has gone down, but I am still very proud of him for sticking up for what is right. He is obviously more like me than I realised! :)

Hopefully my own experience of cowards on the internet will help him understand that he did nothing wrong standing up to the bullies in the first place.

Quite right for him Es. I support both of your stands. Certainly if anyone tried that against me, and I found their home location, things might not go well for them.

The kid just tried to call again, I answered and gave him a right earful. Hopefully that is the end of it.

Under the Telecommunications Act 1984, it is an offence to make threatening calls using the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) This applies both to landlines and mobiles. There is a BT Malicious calls Bureau on 0800 661 441 which is manned 24/7.

Thanks Chris. I'm not about to report a stupid 13 year old boy to the police. At that age they don't really know better, I'll take it up with the school and the kids parents if it carries on.

Hopefully he won't be still doing that sort of thing in his 40s and 50s, that would be pathetic.

If he did, and it was proved, then he should be kneecapped. Walking would then forever remind him of his stupidity.

Me too! One of these days some bully is going to bite off more than they can chew and If they had tails(Donkey type), You can guess where they'd be too, After getting their clock cleaned, All It takes is one guy with a black belt and the bully is going south, fast.

"Better Peace"

we all are tired and seek a better peace
a better rest than we have ever known
a break from the duplicities of life
in a place that so far has been unknown
the waters will be cooler and free flowing
the sky a deeper blue so i've been told
all the things we've taken long for granted
will only be made precious when they're gone
