Though on our first day someone drowned while we walking along the beach. My cousin helped pull him out of the water and do CPR, but he was convinced he was dead. Amazingly we heard afterwards that he had survived. On our second day my cousin's wife was held up coming home because she saw someone jump off a bridge. We don't know if that person survived :( On our 3rd day my cousin texted me to ask where we were as there had been a shooting outside his window. I thought he was joking until we got back from the mall and saw all the police tape. 2 people had been shot dead. Weirdly enough this sort of thing is very rare in Vancouver, especially where my cousin lives. Very odd. We're still looking for an apartment and are camped out at my aunt's for now.
