Any update on the CUDA project. I've checked both MW websites and have seen nothing since the update in June 11.

It will come soon, some day, some month, some year. Only Travis knows. But there are enough CUDA projects like Seti/Seti beta, GPUGrid, Aqua !

I have no interesting in SETI.

GPUGrid doesn't like my 9600GT has only 64 SPs. It comments >= 96 SPs.

Aqua's CUDA WUs have run out!

SETI is not interested in me :p Interestingly I tried to attach to Aqua to see if the WU deadlines were not as unforgiving as CPUgrid, and found Aqua had no WUs. Now that I am turning off my laptop when not in use in this UK 'heatwave', I have stopped with CPUgrid and am now CUDA-less.

So in answer to the question "Where's CUDA?" - it's not on any of my boxes now.

My 9600 runs GPUGrid OK - or it used to until I pulled it out and replaced it with a 4850.

Travis here. I'm going to be camping until Sunday so don't break anything while I'm gone. Hopefully Matt and John will keep the server running and filled with work for you guys :) I'm still having a few problems with the CUDA application for regular milkyway, so it'll probably be out Monday or Tuesday after I get back.

Still camping.
Maybe someone should send a search party :)

I for one am disappointed not to see MW CUDA and ATI being rolled out on MW_GPU. I've been on the edge of my chair ever since April 16, 2009 and "Almost There!". Should I suspend Milkyway@Home_for_GPU in my BOINC manager, or do you think the WUs will arrive any time now?

GPUGrid will work with the 9600GT -- I've got one workstation using it with GPUGrid -- processes about one WU a day -- for a RAC of over 4000.

GPUGrid will actually work with even less capable cards - I have one system with a 9400GT -- takes 4 to 5 days to process a WU -- meaning it sometimes takes too long to complete in time.

A better match would be something like the 9600GT -- though one must be willing to deal with power and heat usage there.

I ran a 8800GT OC at the GPUGrid Project for quit some time. But then all of a sudden it wouldn't run the Wu's anymore without erroring out upon start of the Wu. It still run's the SETI BETA CUDA Wu's & the AQUA CUDA Wu's though so I don't know what the problem is with the GPUGrid Wu's that it wont run them. It's not a heat issue because it won't run the Grid Wu's long enough to even warm up much less get overheated ...

I believe that you have to have at least nvidia 180 driver to run gpugrid now, see the info on their site.

I've tried all the Drivers on the 8800GT at the Grid Project & it just won't run the Wu's anymore, it's no big deal, don't even have it in a Box any more as it's just for Backup for testing if one of the other Cards goes on the Lame ...

I have plenty of Series 200 Cards to run there, I didn't get to 30,000,000+ Credits at the Grid running a 8800GT Card I can assure you ... :)

I'm pretty lucky then, My Gpugrid WU's complete in between 7 and 8 hours, sometimes though I've seen a WU go to about 25 hours on the GTX 295.

Whell,,, it sucks.....

In GPUGRID with 3xGTX260SP216 you may have 52000 credits per day,

In MilkyWay with 2xHD4870 you may have 110 000 credits per day...

So where is balance?
In this project you may run 2 wu per gpu. In gpu grid you may run only 1 wu per gpu.
