Is there a way to increase the number of work units downloaded?

Posted 10 Sep 2015 by Jon Dallara Post: Hello, My system has two nagging problems with Milkyway@home processing. I run multiple Boinc tasks on my system since I have multiple cores to keep occupied. I currently have Seti@home, Milkyway@home, Collatz Conjecture, and GPUGrid running. First problem, unless I suspend the other projects, when Milkyway@home updates (either automatically or manually), it usually logs the message: Milkyway@Home 9/10/2015 4:03:57 PM Not requesting tasks: don't need This is regardless of whether it has work or not. Is there a way to get it to request work without having to suspend the other projects? Secondly, I have it set to run 4-5 instances of Milkyway@home at once, but it won't download more than around 24 workunits. It will leave a message about the number of allowable workunits being exceeded. Is there a way to increase this limit? Currently, I don't get enough workunits for more than about 3-4 hours of processing, at the end of which I have to suspend the other projects to force Milkyway@home to request more work. Thanks, Jon. |
