Notice from server: Your app_info.xml file doesn't have a usable version of milkyway@home N-Body Simunlation
(Message 54553)
Posted 31 May 2012 by Fred E. Post: Can somebody help me with this one!!? You probably have your project preferences set to receive cpu tasks including N-Body Simulation, but your app_info.xml does not contain any CPU applications. Once you go on anonymous platform, only the applications in it will be used. If you want to run GPU only, change your project preferences to get rid of the messages. |

SETI @ Home Offline Due to Power Failure
(Message 54544)
Posted 31 May 2012 by Fred E. Post: Found some info on the BOINC site for those who may be trying to reach it - it's located in the same building as SETI. The website was partially available today. You could download BOINC software, but no forums, etc. because the database was not running. Richard Haselgrove posted the following info on a team's website:
So the BOINC site should be partially up tomorrow morning, and hopefully will be all the way back later in the morning. |

SETI @ Home Offline Due to Power Failure
(Message 54538)
Posted 30 May 2012 by Fred E. Post: looks like its all down again. Were they expecting this again?? Yes, they had a couple of hours warning this time and made an orderly shutdown. PG&E (local utility company) is replacing some of the underground power cables that serve the Space Sciences Lab and several other buildings at the campus. Guess the fix for the shorted cable that caused the unplanned downtime two weeks ago was not considered permanent enough to suit them. The university's site is not providing status reports this time, but the project said they expect to be back up by Thursday 1700 UTC. |

It has the same username and country (Spain), but I can't compare computers because yours are hidden on 71431 and we can't see the e-mail addresses. If it is your old account, you must have used a different e-mail address to open the new account If that's the account and if you remember the e-mail address and password, you can log on to it to confirm. Then complete your tasks on hand, detach, and attach to the other account. |
