Never mind, I've found a "solution." The card doesn't have double-precision. I really wasn't expecting that considering my last card did.

You can disregard this post, unless anyone has a workaround. Seems like I need to dedicate my NVIDIA card more instead, unless I can manage to reinstall my last card simultaneously.

Hey, guys.

This is my first post on these forums but I'm an experienced BOINC user. I've been running MH@Home seperation tasks for a while on my 4870, but I recently upgraded to a 6850. With my 4870, I was able to run the WUs under an anonymous platform app_info.xml. Once upgrading, all of the tasks I've tried have failed instantly on starting. I decided to remove the app_info and try to request work from the server and here's the message I get:

4/26/2012 8:15:46 AM | Milkyway@Home | update requested by user
4/26/2012 8:15:49 AM | Milkyway@Home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.

4/26/2012 8:15:50 AM | Milkyway@Home | No tasks sent
4/26/2012 8:15:50 AM | Milkyway@Home | Message from server: GPU lacks necessary double precision extension

On start-up

4/26/2012 8:13:54 AM | | ATI GPU 0: AMD Radeon HD 6800 series (Barts) (CAL version 1.4.1703, 1024MB, 991MB available, 3149 GFLOPS peak)
4/26/2012 8:13:54 AM | | OpenCL: ATI GPU 0: Barts (driver version CAL 1.4.1703 (VM), device version OpenCL 1.1 AMD-APP (898.1), 1024MB)

Any idea why I'm not able to use MH@Home? Perhaps a driver issue? This is an isolated issue with just this project.
