Always thought that slider would reduce power consumption when moving to negative side. Guessed wrong. Thanks for the info.

In CCC, you can reduce your power by 20%. Little difference in time and points.
Just an FYI for 6950 owners....

I have a board with 3 PCI-E slots. 1 is X16, the other two are X8. Are there any issues with the X8 slots (bottleneck)? From what I have read, when using the X8 slot, this will slow down the X16 slot. Is this correct? Seems cheaper to crunch with GPU's than CPU's. Kind of considering this move since more projects are turning toward GPU crunching. Any help appreciated.

My ATI 6950 is working fine with CCC 12.4. Just upgraded last night before I ran another batch through.

I've been running 12.3 on my ATI 6950 with zero problems. Task finish under 2 minutes on lowest setting in overdrive, and around 90 seconds with settings at max.
