Sorry, but reducing the wu limit to 6 has only made things worse.

Still no improvement here, wu unit increase made no difference at all, I've still got computers Idle and comms backed of for hours.
4) Message boards : Number crunching : No work (Message 12550)

I just looked at one of computers and found it had been without work for just over an hour and the client communication backed of for nearly two hours.
After about 5 minuets of forced updates I finely got some work. So is there any chance this is going to improve, as over the last week or so it's becoming worse.

Do you have "leave applications in memory while suspended" checked. If not and you run another project it can effect the time displayed in the client.

Hi

Anybody out there know where I can get the old v0.16 optimised app for windows.
Since switching to v0.19 the work unit times on most of my machines have got longer (eg. from 390s to 540s, and 20mins to 35mins on the slower machines).
So I'd like to try reverting back to v0.16 to see what happens

I will put them back in zslip. I was thinking of keeping it simple by having only the latest window/linux versions, but then windows 0.16 is still valid and I would support people being able to choose if there is more than one version available.

I'll let you know when windows 0.16 is added back to zslip

Thanks Ice much appreciated

If you read the other topics you would know that is due to the units being longer not the version.

That sounds like way too much hard work.

It's not gonna work! already I'm getting repeated "No Work Sent" messages and my pc's are backing of to between 1 & 3 hours. Without constant attendance they'll spend most of the time with an empty cache.

About 40 minuets ago I noticed that all my pc's have been unable to get any work due to failed downloads also there appears to be none of the older wu's available.

We all joined because of the science in the first place right?

Very wrong!

I don't know of anyone that can honestly say "I joined Boinc because I wanted to beat everyone else at how many points I can collect."

Then maybe your not really looking, I know many.

I can understand and respect the reasons the "science first" types, but I just can't understand why so many of them refuse to give the same respect and understanding to the competative crunchers, after all the work we do is just as helpfull to the project.

Hi

The title pretty much sez it all. It seemed to start sometime in the last hour or two on all my computers.
