Hi
I have got Boinctasks and it is showing 5 hours 10 minutes 49.381% 5 hrs 19 to go

Boinc shows 5 hours 10 minutes 0% 5 hrs 19 to go

it looks like a boinc problem and the work is running properly according to Boinctasks

hi

with the limit of 6 tasks per processor, is there a way to stop Boinc giving messages every 3 to 6 minutes like this

14/09/2009 16:41:01 Milkyway@home Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
14/09/2009 16:41:01 Milkyway@home Requesting new tasks
14/09/2009 16:41:11 Milkyway@home Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
14/09/2009 16:41:11 Milkyway@home Message from server: No work sent
14/09/2009 16:41:11 Milkyway@home Message from server: (reached limit of 12 tasks)

thanks Paul

Hi
Many thanks sorry I have not thanked before

it did reduce the time to about 70 minutes per project

the new ones today begin GS_S22-3S-4P and these are running with the SSS3 but are taking about 3-4 hours a project.

is there a change I need to make to improve the speed of them?

thanks again

Paul

Hi had the same problem with Leiden today and I had 2 climate predictions both at 114 hours to complete by 24th may 2010 which i had to suspend to get the Leiden in but as the climate predictions average at less than 1 hour a day each to finish on time i think it must be a bug in version 6.6.36 but not working out the dates correctly

I think I have found a solution

are you running Aqua@home as for some reason that runs with 1.2 CPU and blocks other downloads when it runs as they always want 1 cpu
so my solution was to detach from aqua.

17/06/2009 19:58:16 Milkyway@home Message from server: No work sent
17/06/2009 19:58:16 Milkyway@home Message from server: (won't finish in time) BOINC runs 79.4% of time, computation enabled 99.3% of that

does anybody know what this means is it me or milky way I have never had problems before

Hi
Many thanks
I put it into the folder and get the message Couldn't find input file [astronomy_parameters.txt] to read astronomy parameters.
I have done a search for this file and i find it in C:\documents and settings\ all users\applications data\boinc\slots\9 also in slots\10 should I put the files here as well?

thanks again

Hi further to my previous message about it taking over three hours. the latest 2 are taking over 4 hours.
re the message But you could try one of the optimized apps to speed it up quite a bit by the use of the SSSE3 version for your Core2.
what do I do when i download the file when i just ran it I got this message Can't open init data file - running in standalone mode
Running Milkyway@home version 0.19 by Gipsel
Couldn't find input file [astronomy_parameters.txt] to read astronomy parameters.
APP: error reading astronomy parameters: 1
so i must have done something wrong any advice

thanks Paul

Hi
I have just finished ps-sgr-230f-2s-2 worked ok but took 3 hours 8 minutes and 8 seconds.

most previously averaged about 58 minutes or 1 hour 40 minutes at most.
is the credits the same and is the normal time for projects now?
thanks

paul
