future milkyway gpu support
(Message 28745)
Posted 2 Aug 2009 by Tom Philippart Post: what gpus will be supported in a near future with the new code and/or the new gpu subproject? I believe all cuda nvidia gpus: geforce 8xxx-today will you support ati cards that aren't supported at this time? below 38xx cards (like 3650 and the 2xxx series)? As these support gpu computing too... |

MilkyWay@Home Progress Report (Old)
(Message 25613)
Posted 16 Jun 2009 by Tom Philippart Post: a very good idea would be to create a milkyway progress report discussion thread for questions, other wise this thread will get as long as the optimized apps thread and you'll easily loose track of the real reports and it's harder to read. |

Goal
(Message 4626)
Posted 3 Aug 2008 by Tom Philippart Post: Milkyway@home is based at the Rensselaer Computer Science Department. This particular project is being developed to better understand the power of volunteer computer resources. What is the primary goal of this project? Understanding our Milkyway or understanding the power of grid computing? Or is the goal I'm quoting above reached by running this project while the milkyway is being studied by the WUs? Thanks! |
