Using 7.0.25 and it is getting WU's, but after self reporting a completed WU, when I try to do the "Update" to clean out reported WU's from my task list I get this in the events log.

4/22/2012 12:04:38 PM | Milkyway@Home | update requested by user
4/22/2012 12:04:58 PM | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
4/22/2012 12:05:00 PM | Milkyway@Home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
4/22/2012 12:05:00 PM | Milkyway@Home | Reporting 2 completed tasks, not requesting new tasks
4/22/2012 12:05:11 PM | Milkyway@Home | Scheduler request completed
4/22/2012 12:05:22 PM | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.
4/22/2012 12:05:55 PM | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
4/22/2012 12:05:56 PM | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

But the WU's do eventually dissapear with in a few minutes.

10_3s_free's now very rare, so they appear to have all but worked their way through the system now.

About to hit a RAC of 200,000. Now accumulating over 6 million credits a month (more if MW gets going).

LOL..It's still a long way to the top for bragging rights.

This project has made a joke out of the stats.

I agree, stats based on the BOINC core client model can be compared, but if you are using an optimized app for a project, then you are apples and oranges. The science is getting done, sure, but to lump those credits in with other projects that do not use an optimised app makes that whole credit issue meaningless.

It's like Conan says, doing my bit for science. It's not about credits, but about doing science in different projects, or just one project. Congrats to all milestoners, and anyone proud of the credit they achieve which reflects their contribution to science ;)

Yes, you are doing your bit for SCIENCE, but you are also doing it for CREDITS. Otherwise you would not have posted your accomplishments here in this thread, and your signiture wouldn't be showing how much you have done.

I have on of my PC's having this problem a lot. Here is a link to one of the latest WU's. I originally thought that it might be because the PC wasn't finishing before the 60 minutes that I have my BOINC profiles set to, so I increased it to 70 minutes. I see no change on this W2K PC.

I was having similar issues. I deatatched and reatatched and the WU's downloaded and processed normally. I watched and if it passed about 39-42 seconds it went to completion.

My VISTA box seemed to have crunched OK, but it is stuck in the upload mode. WHen the system tries to report the unit anyway, i get this:

11/10/2007 1:05:44 PM|Milkyway@home|Scheduler RPC succeeded [server version 511]
11/10/2007 1:05:44 PM|Milkyway@home|Message from server: Result gs_1_1194561432_317_1 is no longer usable

but it is still stuck in my upload queue, and will not show in my list of computers that the VISTA box has even had a single WU.

Also, the age of the files in the computers list is only one day, the 10th of november. Is this normal for this project to not show a longer history of file processed?

OK thanks.
I hope you'll debug soon!!
In the meantime do I loose credits ??? (in other words I crunched for nothing ??)
Bye bye

Unfortunately, you won't get any credits. As of right now, I'm granting all claimed credit, but if BOINC reports a client error, you won't even claim any credit for it... sorry.

Is there a file that we can capture that might help you look at the processes that are causing the mistaken memmory leak?

So far I have no WU's to look at. Put up a few dozen or so and let's see what happens.

October 2, 2007 The Forums are Working... Sort of
It looks like the message boards are at least functional. There are still some errors to be fixed, but at least they are useable. This means I can start getting some feedback from you guys! Also, I found the bug in the code, so if you have gotten work and it ran really slowly and caused your computer to do some strange things I should be able to fix those very soon.

But my PC's are not getting anything. I have 1 Vista and 2 XP boxes registered, but they do not show up in my profile. My team also does not register on my workstations.
I hope the feedback helps.
