Can anyone give me any idea on how long the current problem with no work being available so often is likely to continue. Owing to a problem with my ISP I am having to use a dial up service at the moment so cannot remain connected all the time. Obviously this means I frequently connect at a time when no wor is available.

This isn't funny. 11 hours wasted. I thougt these wus are out of system?

Travis did try and pull them but he kept being timed out. No more are being generated but an odd one that has been hung up on other Linux hosts are still being reissued. I had one this morning

I think the assimilator is the key here...when fixed we will get validation and work as normal ;)

Just got 20 wu 2 reissues all the rest new Still got the pending queue

WARNING to Linux users one of the reissues was a 373 so some are still in the system

I am still getting the occasional bad work unit. I aborted about six just then when I checked my pc's. I have 13 pc's and only check them once a day. I would estimate, (using the SWAG principle) over 150 hours of crunching has been lost on those wu's, on my machines.

Is there going to be any credit for them ? I hate to think that I have waisted all that processing time. I stopped crunching when the problem was discovered, and returned after I thought it was fixed, but they seem to be still coming.

Just a thought but if I KNOW there has been a problem and THINK it MAY have been fixed I check my machine more often than once a day. Or I crunch another project until I Know it has been fixed.

FWIW, they are all re-issues - perhaps there's a way (at the server end) to stop these from being re-issued? At this rate the problem will not go away for quite some time, especially if the work units end up going to unattended/unmonitored Linux hosts.

I just hope that there is not a poor Linux user out there who has not checked his/her cruncher for the last three days!!!!

I noticed for a few days that my Windows machine seemed to hang up on WU's, after the 19th I have to kill a few, and I can't get a steady stream of results from it.

And now I've noticed my mac has been working on a new WU for 48+ minutes. Looks like I've had a few WU's finish in 3900 seconds as opposed to 400 seconds, which I'm fine with if they return valid results. The only thing that's a little irksome is the fact that the credit dishout is the same. 4.07 for a 400 second WU vs 4.07 for a 3900 second WU...

This look like a different problem as the new WUs have only been available for the past day and when they do run they seem to be fractionallly faster - approx 13 min cpu time

My windows machine errors out in a matter of seconds with the new WUs

There are no WUs available It does not appear to be the old assimilator issue. I know it is Sunday but is there anyone available who can let us know what is happening?
