Just cleared out 66 V1.40 tasks all with failures.
Also just download a series of V1.42 tasks now, see how they hold up.

System has been offline all weekend.
If you look at the homepage of the project and at the title of this thread you would see they are down for upgrades/maintenance.

So the boinc manager will continue to try and communicate to the project, but the project will not answer because the servers are offline. Maybe later today or tomorrow it will be ready. Who knows, when its back you will see all that disappear and new stuff loaded. Meanwhile it is stuck in your tasks tab and there is nothing you can do about it.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 that has been performing fine until today when I get this batch of error messages:

12/15/2015 7:53:00 PM | Milkyway@Home | Requesting new tasks for NVIDIA GPU
12/15/2015 7:53:02 PM | | App version needs OpenCL but GPU doesn't support it
12/15/2015 7:53:02 PM | Milkyway@Home | [error] App version uses non-existent NVIDIA GPU
12/15/2015 7:53:02 PM | Milkyway@Home | [error] Missing coprocessor for task de_80_DR8_Rev_8_5_00004_1446686708_21535340_0; aborting

and so on for 20+ or 40+ tasks

I thought this GPU handled OpenCL tasks?
Seems to me that I have run these in the past.

Any got any ideas?

Well what do you know....it was the firewall.
But now I have a few tasks that validation was inconclusive and one that could not validate. What's with that?

I think (hope) I have finally gotten through the buggy tasks and that my firewall can behave now.

It yet another session of failed tasks and me aborting the rest.
Exit 0 again!
Gawd....what is with this Exit 0 crud anyway?
Blocked Modfit yet again, can't run it.

There are some serious bugs in this task: http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/results.php?userid=57700

Only 2 users have completed this task successfully and their validation was inconclusive. 3 have had errors while computing and the task was terminated.
1 user (me) has aborted the task after 1,007,779.00 seconds
Another user got the tasks new.

The 3 with computation errors are using Linux with Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8500, Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5410, Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5504
I use Win8.1 64 Pro with AMD FX(tm)-6350 Six-Core Processor (this task hogged all 6 of my CPU's)

The two with success have:Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz (Linux machine) and Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU (Win 7 64 pro SP1)

The new person is using: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2350M CPU with Win 7 64 pro SP1

I have been busy all week so I did not have time to look more closely at the logs for my system. But today I aborted it (all I seem to do is abort tasks from you guys) because it got caught up in the Exit 0 (What is this????) loop and kept restarting.

Maybe you guys should add some code that checks for Exit 0 errors and if the tasks gets more than 3 or 5 it forces Boincmgr to terminate the task.

Yes I already did the update request from BOINCmgr, but your server keeps sending these tasks to me. I have to abort them because they always goto Exit 0 errors.

Jake, with all the problems going on with the modfits, someone should have alerted you to this and maybe you could update us as to what is going on. My GPU just spits 99% of these tasks back. I also unchecked modfit in the preferences but that does not seem to stop your servers from sending me modfit tasks. I don't understand this! I even reset the project and the first modfit died immediately and another ran about 8 minutes and then starts the exit 0 status loop. I aborted everything else. So why is your server sending me modfit tasks when I said not to? And why are they always dying on my system?

de_modfit_15_3s_132_wrap_8_1411504411_4573_2 too many exit(0)s

and the rest of the modfits vary with these error messages.
I posted a message over in number crunching asking why my GPU is unable to process these tasks.

I have a few tasks left over in modfit to process, but it looks like I will have to stop processing these tasks as 99% of them error out, unless it is old material?

I have 29 tasks so far from this group that do nothing but exit with 0 status after 7 seconds and then reset and try again and repeat the cycle until boinc manager kills them or I catch them and abort them.

I have this GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 (2048MB) driver: 344.11 OpenCL: 1.01

I saw that another person with a APU system also had troubles with a task from this group. That persons system is this: AuthenticAMD
AMD E1-1200 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics [Family 20 Model 2 Stepping 0]

Now check this out, 3 different systems with this setup:AMD AMD Radeon HD 7870/7950/7970/R9 280X series (Tahiti) (3072MB) driver: 1.4.1848 OpenCL: 1.02 ) managed to complete and validate de_modfit_15_3s_132_wrap_7_1410552780_1191723 (Workunit # 621318393) which the first person to get this task could not complete and I could not complete.

So is there something in the code of that task or something in the APU and my GPU that are not compatible with these types of tasks?

Just one other piece of information, there is no OC applied to the GPUor CPU.

Not sure why they run so good on other systems and not mine, but in any case, modfit as it is currently written is not for me.
