Thanks for the help. You are right, Ubuntu doesn't even see my ATI card.
I'll do some more research on that.

I had no problem using my Q6600 cpu an ATI HD4380 here with Win7.
Now that I am using Ubuntu 11.10 the GPU does nothing.
Is there something I need to do in addition to running bonic and adding Milkyway as a project?

(I hope this is posted to the correct place.)

Thanks

I am using a GTX 460, Win 7 X64, and Boinc manager 6.12.33, and have noticed that the Milkyway CUDA tasks do not stop when I shutdown and EXIT the manager.

Milkyway still runs and I have to use the task manager to stop the CUDA task.

Running a CUDA task on SETI will stop when I exit and shutdown Boinc.

The one machine is out of all work, had to enable a different project to keep it busy. It won't switch to CPU work.

Thank You for the reply. I re-read the first post/message and found the
preference for the project. I have the GPU selected as NO.

Use GPUs for Computation? no
Use CPU for Computation? yes

The problem is that it does not work. I ran update for the project and it still trys to get work for GPU and does not try to get CPU work. So that means I will run out of work very shortly.

Thanks again. Jim

I have a Quad Intel processor, NVIDIA GPU running under 190.62 and is CUBA 2.3, I use BOINC 6.6.36. I upgraded to the BOINC 6.6.36 yesterday and since then I have not been able to get new work units.
I receive a message stating my card is not compatible (CUBA 2.3 and not 1.3).

How do I disable the GPU / CUBA function? The only option I can find is USE GPU WHILE COMPUTER IS IN USE. I have not selected this option.

Do I just have to Detach this quit this project? This is dumb if this is the case. I hope I am just having trouble finding the option.

Thanks for any help.
